December Blogging Plan: 5 Topic Ideas

holidaysHere we are--the last month of 2014! If you've been following our monthly blogging plan series, you've got nearly a year's worth of posts that are helping you to establish your brand.

If you haven't been keeping up, now's a great time to start. The holidays offer plenty of easy topic ideas, making it easy to stay on the blogging wagon even amidst all the seasonal hustle and bustle. It's a busy time of year, so we're offering just five topics ideas--roughly one per week--for the month of December.

1. The Holiday Post(s)

Tree lightings, parades, charitable causes, and more--these are all candidates for blog topics. Know which neighborhoods have the best holiday light displays? Share your knowledge! Like we said, there are plenty of easy post ideas during the holidays so take advantage of them. There's no need to cram it all in one post, though. Identify a few topics you'd like write about and you can drip out the seasonal posts all month long!

2. How to Appeal Your Property Tax in [City/County Name]

Depending on your area, winter property taxes may be due very soon. Chances are good that there are consumers in your locale who think their home's assessed value is too high. Write a "how to" post that tells homeowners how they can appeal their tax bill. The idea here is to demonstrate your expertise and capture those searching for info on appealing their tax bill in your. The key is to encourage searchers to reach out to you for information on comparables or tax records. Don't forget to include your phone number and email in your post!
