Filming Real Estate Videos on a Budget

March 09 2014

homes com sauce filming budgetIn our last edition of the Secret Sauce to Creating Real Estate Videos, we discussed three key things to remember when coming up with a plan for your video. This time around, we will be showing you just how inexpensive it can be to create an awesome real estate video.

Contrary to popular belief, you don't need a million dollar budget to create an effective finished product. In fact, all it really requires is a smartphone with a few accessories, a simple editing program, and a little bit of time.

Here are a few tips on creating real estate videos on a budget:

1) There's no need to break the bank by purchasing an expensive camera, because whether you have an iPhone or Android, today's smartphones are equipped with high quality cameras. Although an expensive camera can be put to good use, for the purpose of creating real estate videos, that smartphone you carry around every day will provide you with the quality that you're looking for.

2) To optimize the quality of your videos, there are a few accessories that you should always have on hand. When filming with your smartphone, always use a tripod. Although this may seem like an additional expense, it'll be worth it because you can create videos for all of your listings in the future. The good thing is that they're inexpensive. Look on Amazon--odds are you can find one for under $30. If you aren't sure about what kind of smartphone you'll be using, you can also buy attachments that will fit any tripod.
